The optional Forward Sensing System can detect objects in front of the 2012 Lincoln MKS to make parallel parking much easier. At speeds below 8 mph, the system alerts the driver to obstacles with an audible beep. The six-speed electronic automatic transmission of the Lincoln MKS gives you smooth, barely perceptible gear changes and allows you more control over shifting when you want it. It operates like a normal automatic transmission ,but also allows you to override automatic mode for upshifting and downshifting.

Safety & Security

Driver and Front Passenger Airbags. The Lincoln MKS is equipped with a standard Personal Safety System® which includes dual-stage driver and front seat airbags to provide protection to the driver and front passenger in the event of an accident. The Lincoln MKS provides enhanced side impact protection with standard first- and second-row side curtain airbags that deploy from the headliner in certain types of side impact accidents. Includes rollover technology protection.

AdvanceTrac® with Electronic Stability Control. The 2012 Lincoln MKS provides AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as a standard feature. AdvanceTrac improves control on slippery surfaces like snowy, muddy,wet or gravel roads by managing the anti-lock brakes, traction control and the stability system to keep you on your intended path.
